About the Role 

We are currently looking for an experienced Credit Officer to join our finance team. In this role, you will:

  • Manage customer credit portfolios and ensure compliance with trading terms and credit limits
  • Process and complete accounts receivable tasks
  • Handle inbound and outbound customer queries and collections
  • Maintain customer master data and update records
  • Conduct credit checks and financial analysis on new and existing customers
  • Prepare reports on credit performance and overdue accounts
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve credit issues and mitigate risks

Requirements

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or collections
  • Qualifications in Accounts, bookkeeping or similar
  • Has strong Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software including ERP
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Highly desirable but not essential:

  • Experience within the building material supply industry or similar
  • Experience or interest in marketing, including assisting in the creation of content for an external marketing agency (Highly desirable but not required)
